up" on a surfboard. She enjoys dancing, playing with dogs, and fresh
whipped cream.
ANITA MALONEY
I am newly relocated from the East coast. I am a Massachusetts native and most recently was living in Rhode Island. I walked into the Yoga Maya studio within two weeks of having relocated and felt as though I had come home. I have been involved with yoga since 2001 on the heels of a life threatening illness. It is yoga that brought me back to health. I am also a cancer survivor prior to the illness in 2001 and overcame a fatal accident in 2004. The best way to summarize yoga is to say it has truly been a “Life Saver” for me. I received my 200 Hour RYT in 2005 following an intensive study with Tom Gillette in 2005 in Providence, RI. I have also been studying with Baron Baptiste extensively having completed Level I and Level II trainings and am in the process of my full certification as a Baptiste instructor. I have assisted in the Baptiste yoga studios on the east coast for the past year. I have undergone further training with Alyssa Sullivan at Synergy Power in Rhode Island and have had the honor to learn from Richard Freeman, Rodney Yee, Shiva Rhea, Bryan Kest and Sean Corne. I look forward to sharing the incredible gifts that yoga has brought to me in my life. Yoga has brought incredible strength, joy, freedom and peace to my very soul. I look forward to continually learning about and sharing yoga throughout my life.
